Ask Wandering Chopsticks 4

After Christmas eve happy hour at Kenny & Zuke's Delicatessen for pastrami cheeseburgers, pastrami on rye, and Reuben sandwiches, lil' sis, my four nephews, three of their friends, and I trekked over to Pioneer Courthouse Square in Portland, Oregon for some photos.

Christmas at Pioneer Courthouse Square - Portland - Oregon

A Christmas tree had been installed in the center of the square and was all lit up for the holidays. As I snapped photos of the kids doing one goofy pose after another, I couldn't help but think of when they were little and how quickly time has gone by.

*Sniffle.*

Why do my babies have to grow up? My two youngest nephews (they're actually my cousin's kids but they've been calling me "auntie" since I was a kid myself) were both born exactly on Christmas day, but three years apart. Now, the older one is off to college and the youngest isn't far behind. I remember when they were both born.

*Sniffle.*

Happy Birthday to my two nephews and Merry Christmas to everyone!

Santa's cutest reindeer wishes you a very Merry Christmas too!

3 years ago today, I cooked Christmas colors - insalata caprese, pesto, and baked goat cheese on pesto and tomato sauce.

  1. Merry Christmas to you too! Still fits in as today I received at least three "Merry Christmases". Well, it's still Christmas Weekend... And no comments? Why? Is everyone away?

Should I repeat again that Pablo is just so cute? The reindeer outfit is just so beautiful and so is the blue dragon outfit you bought.

And you bet time has gone fast. I'm thinking of the past too. Just finished watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the old version) and I remember just watching it in elementary school. Oh, the days didn't feel long ago. I could say more about the other old movies I just watched but yes, the same feeling goes. And scarily tomorrow is my first blog anniversary. Way too fast......

No questions today :). But I do remember seeing those two posts from a year ago and two years ago! And yes, I think I was able to pinpoint when I started to RSS your blog...sticky rice siu mai dumplings. Ah ha. It was one of the posts that came up days later...

  6. ETE,
    Happy New Year!

I think everyone was busy with their own holiday stuff. I know I was. Sticky rice siu mai! Been meaning to re-do my photos in that post so they're bigger. That was a while ago. Glad you're still reading!

    MCR,
Happy New Year! I'm short too so it doesn't take much to get taller than me. :P
