Behind the Scenes: Tillamook Cheese Factory - Tillamook - Oregon

After lunch at Pacific Oyster - Bay City - Oregon, we headed over to the Tillamook Cheese Factory. I had briefly mentioned visiting the Tillamook Cheese Factory before, but let's go for a real tour this time.

On that previous visit, my cousins didn't arrive until several hours after we did. So we ended up going twice. Hey, who can pass up free cheese samples! :P

From upstairs, you can see how the inside of the cheese factory. Unfortunately, I'm always here on the weekends when production is closed so I have yet to see what actually happens here.

They gave out a lot of samples that day. Usually, there are only two or three.

Afterward, we walked through the gift shop, which included plenty of cheese, of course.

  4. CC,
I wish I could see the production area, but I'm never here when it's open. I've never seen most of those cheeses sold anywhere else, just the regular ones.

    Liz,
    Haha. You're a cheese lover I take it? :)

    GP,
The ice creams are good too. Like the cheeses, a lot of the ice cream flavors I've never seen sold in stores.
