Last April, after a trip back from San Francisco, Gourmet Pigs brought me a present! A box of half a dozen macarons from Patisserie Philippe in San Francisco.
So pretty!
It was such a lovely unexpected treat.
I forgot what all the flavors were, but they were all so good.
I hastily set up pictures and snapped away.
Oops! Forgot to pour the tea.
Then the two of us happily sat down to a proper afternoon tea.
Thanks Gourmet Pigs! She's the best! She even once brought me shortbread cookies from her lunch at The French Laundry.

ReplyDeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteYummy, but if you ever have the chance... Laduree macaroons from France are to die for!
ReplyDeleteCC,
ReplyDeleteI know! I was so excited when my friend gave me these. I've tried Miette's and they were too dense and chewy for my taste.
WeeMo,
So delicious!
BPO Girls,
I wish I had discovered macarons when I was in Paris long ago. Next time!
