For quaintness, the Farmers' Market in Claremont has to be one of my favorites just for how cute the downtown, otherwise referred to as The Village, is to walk around. Tree-lined streets and lots of little shops and restaurants.
The Farmers' Market doesn't just sell fruits and vegetables. There's art.
Handcrafts.
More art.
Used books. It is a college town after all.
Flowers.
Fava beans. These photos are from April 2008, so obviously fava beans aren't in season now.
Strawberries.
Onions. Only $1 a bunch.
Potted flowers.
Super colorful carrots. Hmm. Guess I should've blogged this when I posted my Roasted Tri-Colored Carrots recipe.
Asparagus and broccoli.

Orchids.
My favorite fuji apples from Ha's Apple Farm. The pomegranate jelly is really good too.

The picture on the left is of The Mexican Players at the historic Padua Hills Theatre, where Jessica Alba's grandparents once performed.
And of course, orange trees, which once dotted the area.

hi wc - looks like a lovely farmer's market - loved seeing the produce, especially the different colored carrots! you know how i am about purple! sometimes you can find some really nice things at the farmer's markets - like handmade jewelry. this year for xmas, i plan to give either gifts either handmade (by me)or made locally (bought from farmer's markets).
