After Wahkeena Falls, we continued west a few miles to Bridal Veil Falls. This 140-foot waterfall can't be viewed from the Historic Columbia River Highway, but it's well-worth the .5 mile hike down.
The trail is fairly easy and crosses a little bridge, in the top right of the photo below, where you can get a nicer view of the waterfall.
View taken from the bridge.
The only strenuous part is a slightly steep hike back up to the parking area. The wall of ferns just reminds me of how green Oregon is and how much I miss hiking in a slightly damp, verdant forest.
Onward to Latourell Falls, with the radioactive yellow lichen.
