We sat on the patio, which faces the One Colorado courtyard overlooking Johnny Rockets and Il Fornaio. Notice the giant movie screen above Crate and Barrel? Free movies!
Can't remember what my brother ordered. Lil' sis got hefeweizen. I didn't like either, but that's because I don't like beer in general. I ordered a pomegranate mojito. Sweet, not bad.
We also got deep-fried artichokes for $4.95. Lightly breaded, not too greasy.
Lil' sis's garlic fries for $4.95. So now she doesn't have to go to Dodgers games anymore just in order to get garlic fries, which are nearly twice as expensive for a smaller portion anyway.
Southwest egg rolls with chicken, black beans, and corn for $4.95. I wish they added avocado, but otherwise these were good. And that mound of wings in the back?
A dozen wings, deep-fried and drenched in sweet chili garlic sauce for $4.95. Way too much sauce, so I'd ask them to go light on it next time, but a very generous portion for that price.
Other $4.95 happy hour appetizers that we didn't order included a tapas plate of hummus, olives, tapenade, and pita bread, bruschetta, and mini cheese or pepperoni pizza.
Lil' sis also ordered their Summergold seasonal beer. This one I actually did like, a bit fruity and lighter in taste.
Anyway, the food is basic pub fare. Go for happy hour. Chill on the patio. It's good for casual summer get-togethers.

1 year ago today, Biggest Menu, or how I find a lot of places to eat. It's sad I need to say this but, please don't choose to de-lurk and/or stalk me on Biggest Menu. That really, really creeps me out and I've cut back on my presence there greatly as a result. And no, it wasn't just one person, it's been at least half a dozen since I wrote that post last year as a favor for its founder, Henry Chan's Food Videos. So use Biggest Menu for its vast pictures of food and interact with the community there, but if you're a regular reader and want to interact with me, I much prefer you do so on my blog.
i love the wings, the rolls, the fries, and your pomegranate mojito! those are just the perfect food for hanging out with friends!

MCR,
ReplyDeleteYeah, this is such a summer type of activity, even though it's sunny all year long. For some reason, it seems extra special during summer.
