  1. Dear WC:
Hello! I have been reading your blog for a couple of years now. I want to thank you for sharing your travels and your food with us. I live in Huntington Beach. Is there anywhere you could recommend in Little Saigon that sells woks? I have to admitt, I have been a little shy vernturing out to LS. I do go to the market that is on Beach and Mcfadden for groceries every weekend. Have a wonderful day. Peace and bright blessings. Peggy

  2. Peggy,
Is it the Shun Fat Supermarket on Beach on McFadden that you go to? They don't have woks there? I go to the San Gabriel location of the chain and they have a whole aisle of woks. Perhaps if you asked someone in the store, they can point them out to you? I got my 16-inch wok from the supermarket on Edinger and Magnolia but it's now called Farm Fresh or something like that, and I'm not sure if it's VNese anymore. Let me know if you find it. Otherwise, you can also order a wok online at wokshop.com

  3. Dear WC,

It is almost time for the Moon Festival. Can you please recommand mooncakes that can be purchased in Orange County, CA (grocery stores, restaurants/bakeries)? I had purchased a few in the past but was rather disappointed. I like the ones with yolks.

I really enjoy your site and the wonderful pictures. Thanks for all the time and effort.

    Toni

  4. Toni,
I don't actually buy mooncakes myself. My oldest uncle and youngest aunt usually give them to me and that's enough for just me. :)

Have you tried the Shun Fat Supermarket on Beach and McFadden mentioned above? I go to the Shun Fat in San Gabriel and they pretty much have all the groceries I need.

    Good luck!
