Searching for Tide Pools

The next morning, we got up early so we could check out some tide pools during low tide. Well, first we had to find them so we drove along the coast and stopped off at random spots.

Lovely beach, but we needed rocks.

So we drove to another spot. I really liked the canopy of trees lining the path.

And the light through these branches too.

Hmm. The grassy path makes me think we'll just hit more beach...

Ironically, we did find tide pools...

Mostly barnacles and seaweed.

Some small fish too, but no sea anemones, which are my favorite part of exploring tide pools.

The middle '87 then joined them too.

Our lackluster search for tide pools came to an end and it was time to head back to the campsite for breakfast.
