The next morning, oldest nephew's childhood friend said he was craving some sweet pastries for breakfast so I suggested doughnuts, thinking that there would be Danishes or something like that at the shop. What we found was even better.
The usual assortment of cake and glazed doughnuts.
Sprinkles too, of course.
Jelly-filled and glazed twists.
Maple bars and cream cheese-filled doughnuts. The bear claws and cinnamon rolls aren't included in the dozen or half-dozen price.
Croissants! Blueberry croissants! Chocolate croissants! Ham and cheese croissants!
We got a half-dozen doughnuts for $3.69.
Cream cheese-filled doughnuts. The doughnuts were just right, not too sweet as some other places.
But the best was this ham and cheese croissant. Since we were there early, the cheese was still warm and gooey in the middle, the croissant flaky and perfect. Between the two of us, we wolfed this down on our way to Capital Dim Sum & BBQ - Monterey Park to get some dim sum to-go.
Weeks later, I had a craving for that ham and cheese croissant for dinner. Luckily, they had one left in the case. I heated it up in my toaster oven and it was still so good.
I also got a blueberry croissant for dessert.
The doughnut shop also has a selection of milk teas and other Asian fruit drinks, and some sandwiches and other snacks. But that hot ham and cheese croissant? OMG!
