1 year ago today, terrible twos!
2 years ago today, Wandering Chopsticks turned 1 and I posted about how and why I started blogging.
3 years ago today, because I was too embarrassed to take out my camera, my sad little first post about Claro's Italian Market - Upland.
Congratulations! :) The goody bag sounds fun! Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteTime does fly. Love all the tasty recipes on this blog
ReplyDeleteI would love to add this cookbook to my collection. I still remember the first time We went into McCormick and Schmick's when they had just opened in Chicago. There was a party of four of us who just went in for a snack, three hours later we came out well fed and cocktailed! They always have a great selection of oysters and their other seafood rocks. We do not have one here in Hawaii, so I would love the cookbook to try some of their ideas here.
ReplyDeleteHave only eaten there when out on business trips but good food every time!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried this restaurant yet, but I'm looking forward to trying out a bunch of recipes from the cookbook. (I'll also see about finding a close one to go to their happy hour, since you recommended it!)

ReplyDeleteHey WC - Congrats on your blogger-versary!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your blog anniversary! I did not expect your third year to come by already so fast :)...scary how time flies so quickly!
ReplyDeleteMcCormick Schmicks is also one of my favorite seafood restaurants. I enjoyed their food in Seattle (and here in Pasadena) and they were so nice to also give away free coupons during Christmas to every passenger flying on my Alaska Airlines flight!
Three years? Your blog is just about the right age to throw tantrums.
ReplyDelete:-D
Congratulations!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 3rd anniversary! I love your take on food and have made the Viet/Sarah Lee tiramasu many times and have always gotten rave reviews. It is delish. I can hardly wait to fix the cilantro chicken soup. That sound divine. Do you add any other spices to the mix?
ReplyDeleteIffen you pick me, I want the cookbook. The next time I am down in Portland, I'll go to Jake's.

First - CONGRATS on the three years anni!
ReplyDeleteSecond - Ah!!! This sounds fabulous!!
I'm allergic to most seafood, so I'd like to request for any of the other two give away.
Thank you for the chance!
McCormick and Schmick's is OK as American seafood restaurants go. Just very expensive. Plus, everytine I eat at an American seafood restaurant, I feel that they are wasting good seafood.
ReplyDeleteAmerican seafood is either broiled/grilled or pan fried or boiled and then liberally doused with butter. Not much technique and, more important, insufficient taste.
Clams and mussels taste so much better stir fried with black bean sauce; lobster tastes sooo-o- much better stir fried with ginger and scallion; crabs taste so much better stir fried with XO sauce; whole fish astes so much better clear steamed with garlic and ginger and scallion and then lightly covered with boiling hot oil; and so forth...
love your collection of recipes! happy blogoversary
