Multnomah Falls (Winter) - Columbia River Gorge - Oregon

4 Multnomah Falls (Winter) - Columbia River Gorge - Oregon 1

After Horsetail Falls, we made our way to Oregon's most visited tourist attraction.

Again, I've written about Multnomah Falls before, so read that post for more details about the legend. There are also more pictures of the falls from various angles that I didn't capture this time simply because it was too wet. And everything I had to say about Multnomah Falls is in that previous post because evidently I don't have any new stories for ya. But how about some pictures of moss, fern, and drizzle?

Love, love love the green moss on this railing.

Just the bottom portion of the upper and the upper portion of the lower falls.

Can you see the tiny lookout point on the upper left? The small waterfall on the right isn't normally there. It had been raining for days? weeks? before I went up so the ground was super saturated and random mini waterfalls were everywhere.

That's a combination of drizzle and mist from the waterfall. Crazy, yeah? It was wet all over.

Benson Bridge. That's as far as we're gonna "hike" that day.

I just can't ever get into hiking in SoCal because it's so dry. Not lush and green with moss and fern.

That's another of those spontaneous mini waterfalls because of the recent rains.

The bridge was flooded in spots. I tried to convince Gourmet Pigs to hike to the top, but she said that was good enough that day. We still had several other waterfalls to go.
