Kiki Bakery - Monterey Park

Kiki Bakery - Monterey Park 1

Back in April, shortly after Kiki Bakery in Monterey Park had just opened, I stopped in with my third cousin who wanted some nice bread and rolls to take back with her to Orange County.

This location was pretty spacious, with a boba shop inside.

They have panda cookies here too!

But I really think it's the Chinese breads and rolls that Kiki Bakery does well.

A potato salad bun?

I had my eye on this Mt. Fuji milk bun.

The bun staved off our hunger while waiting for dinner across the street at Daikokuya Original Noodle & Rice-Bowl - Monterey Park. In fact, the couple next to us salivated at the buttery, milky smell of my roll, so I shared some with them.

  1. The panda looks angry but in a cute way. Like the Miyazaki studio ghibli reference. Now if they only made a herring pie.. ;)

The milk bun looks pretty good, I have to agree. Not too expensive either!

  3. Dennis,
It's a cute/scary panda! What's the Miyazaki connection? You think it looks like a manga character?

    ETE,
Ha! No more photos of the Kiki Bakery in Alhambra for that post. The milk bun was soo good.
