I quite like the old-fashioned look of single petal roses. There's the pink Nearly Wild Rose, and this red one is Paul Ecke Jr., which I bought at the Armstrong Garden Center in Claremont several years ago.
By the way, did you know Paul Ecke Ranch is the world's largest and most successful poinsettia breeder? The father of my rose?
I love the soft, velvety petals.

I'm going to send nikkipolani some cuttings as soon as she gives the go-ahead that she's found a spot for it (right, Anne? LOL) - maybe then I can toss in a few for you too. :)

I love scented roses. Seems these days that flowers are bred for appearance and not scent. I'd love a cutting, but I'm horrible at propagating roses.
The reds are pretty true. Well, the way the rose appears on my screen is the way it is in real life.
I *LOVE* Paul Ecke poinsettias. I can always tell the difference in quality between his and any others! I had no idea that they had roses as well...
