Happy New Year everyone!
New year, new foods to try and new resolution to exercise more to work off that food. But running around my cookie cutter neighborhood, running nowhere on an elliptical machine, running nowhere on a treadmill machine. No wonder I get bored.
Another new year's resolution: get more organized. And so in cleaning up my photo files, I came across these scenes of Ho Hoan Kiem (Returned Sword Lake) in Hanoi, Vietnam from several summers ago.

Every morning, this is how the locals exercised. These photos were taken around 7 a.m. so most of the people had already left to start their day. But I wasn't going to wake up earlier just for pictures. It was also drizzly this day and yet they're still out there. The scene is slightly different in the late afternoon when people tend to walk laps around the lake to socialize more than anything else.
