What Should I Do With This Case of Mangoes?

Besides gobbling them all up like this? :)

This is the case of champagne mangoes I bought for $6.99 that I mentioned before. I like them because there's very little fibers. The taste is smoother. The skins are thinner too. Although I do love the bolder taste of the bigger mangoes.

Anyway, any new recipe ideas? Or should I just be a pig and demolish the rest of the case as is?

  5. Mel's Mom,
Didn't I ask you if you wanted some last night?

    Rachel,
    Oooh, good idea!

    bluang3lbby,
The American stores here have been selling mangoes for 2 for $1 or 3 for $1 lately. I've bought them but they turned out all weirdly mushy with brown fibers. It so wasn't worth it.

    W&S,
    That's what I'm doing now! :P

    Tigerfish,
Another vote for mango chicken huh? I'll have to hunt down a recipe. Chutney seems such a waste...

  8. most of the american stores if it is on sale is $1 a piece. otherwise it is either $1.49 or $2 a piece. and these are small ones not the huge ones. so sometimes just doesnt seem worth it for the price. but havent had a really bad craving for them yet.

Ah, even at the price, if I had no other options, I'd buy. :) I love mangoes.

  11. How about making mango sorbet? I'm sure it would be super delicious. Nothing beats home-made sorbet.
