Did anyone guess what I was growing on the fence along the side of my house?
You don't need much room. I had 3 inches of dirt, some nails, a ball of twine, and a packet of seeds.
My first crop of peas! Gorgeous aren't they? I destrung? destringed? the peas and washed them and plopped them all into my mouth. Yum!
Those peas in the colander are gorgeous! What angle was the colander in relation to the sun? The light spots on top of the peas are photographic brilliance.
ReplyDeleteHi Vicki,
ReplyDeleteAh, any nice photos are purely accidental. It was the middle of the day and my shadow kept half the colander in darkness when I tried to take a photo, so I just held it up. I have no idea where the sun was, probably directly on the other side? I just kept turning until I got the angle I wanted. :)
The peas are beautiful! Can you eat the pea leaves too? I sometimes buy bags of pea leaves from 99 Ranch, is that the same thing?
ReplyDeleteAmy,
ReplyDeleteIt's the same thing and you can eat them. But I don't have that many plants so if I pluck the leaves, they won't grow peas for me. And I want as many peas as possible. :P
