She also didn't saute the rice, but I think that would add a lot more flavour to it. It's the only way I would eat century eggs when I was growing up! She'd also actually add a little ginger to it too - ginger shreds, just so it would have a bit of a kick to it.Shukuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11258042395311417934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29502985.post-1944829203931364062010-11-03T15:07:30.998-07:002010-11-03T15:07:30.998-07:00sauteeing pork with the rice... brilliant! kind of...sauteeing pork with the rice... brilliant! kind of reminds me of making hainanese chicken ricepnaivivhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13289613380565109886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29502985.post-35943412094407820012010-11-03T08:59:06.658-07:002010-11-03T08:59:06.658-07:00I'm just gaining familiarity with some of thes...I'm just gaining familiarity with some of these ingredients. My parents would rather get it from restaurants since they give you a lot more stuff in it, but my mom would make a very plain version for me if I wasn't feeling well.

My favorite homemade kind is made with the turkey carcass after thanksgiving.
